Section 125 Plans save the employer and employees social security and federal unemployment taxes on the money employees contribute toward their insurance premiums. SBS Administrative Services, LLC administers Section 125 Premium Only Plans, Full Section 125 Cafeteria Plans with or without the Flex Convenience Card and Employer Funded Reimbursement Accounts.
The Flex Convenience Card allows employees to pay for their eligible expenses right at the point of services. It allows them to avoid having to pay cash for services (in addition to payroll deductions), submitting a claim form and waiting for a reimbursement check.
COBRA
SBS Administrative Services, LLC provides full COBRA administration. SBS handles the logistics and paperwork required to comply with all COBRA regulations. These services assist the employer, the insurance company and the individual employee. The employer benefits by not having to keep up with the ever changing COBRA regulations, time frames and deadlines. By outsourcing to SBS, the employer simply notifies SBS when an event occurs and SBS handles COBRA notification and the ongoing administration for persons electing COBRA. The insurance company benefits by receiving the proper paperwork. The individual employee benefits by having a contact person that is able to provide them with detailed help in completing paperwork and answering their questions, should they need the assistance.
